Strength and endurance are quite different phases and have a different purpose in practical life and sports. When you move up the stairs to several floors, you use both strength and endurance. Let’s look at another scenario but from a commercial point of view.
The athlete only needs to gather all his strength for a brief period. To achieve this, athletes train themselves in very specific ways. For strength training, an athlete is expected to lift 75 to 80% of their 1RM as a set for 5 to 8 reps.
As you advance in strength training, your strength increases. Thus, you increase the weight and number of sets, but not repetitions. For muscle gains, you will go above 12 reps.
Strength Training Routine
Apply weights according to your 1RM for these exercises and do 3 to 5 sets of every 5 to 8 reps. Give your body enough rest (2-3 minutes) between sets. Gradually keep increasing the weight and the set.
Muscle endurance is the capacity to do something for a long period without getting exhausted. When you are going down the slope, bend your knees, fire your quads, and bend down the hill or mountain for several minutes so that you need to be patient.
Endurance Training Routine
If you are doing these body exercises for endurance, then you need to go up to 12 reps. If you stop at 4, 6, then it will be endurance training. Set for a weight that lets you do anything between 12 and 50 reps while giving your muscles enough work.
